In January 2007, we opened our fitness gym in Barra de Navidad, Jalisco, Mexico. In October 2007, we relocated to a larger facility! Our gym is the first of its kind in this most idyllic, picturesque town, on the Pacific coast.

    • The Mexican Government has officially introduced a new form of revenue taxes effective January 1, 2008. "Impuesto Empresarial a Tasa Unica" or IETU, is an income tax on firms and professional activities to be applied on the firms’ revenues from the sale of goods, the provision of services and the temporary grant for the use of goods. IETU acts as a minimum tax for the income tax. The rate for the IETU has been set at 17.5% (rising gradually from 16.5% in 2008 and 17% in 2009, to 17.5% in 2010). IETU does not replace, abolish or reduce "Impuesto al Valor Agregado" (IVA), which remains applicable at 15%. Despite this new and significant tax addition, FitNis management is pleased to inform its clients that that we will guarantee our current prices until 31 May, 2008. At that point in time, we will review and announce any further changes.
